Our assessment services
Our assessments are conducted by HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologists using gold-standard tools. We provide comprehensive, thoughtful reports and personalised recommendations. Prices shown on this page are indicative; we tailor assessments to each individual and can add or remove components depending on their relevance.
▶ AUTISM & AUDHD ASSESSMENTS
We offer comprehensive autism assessments for children and adults. Dr Rebecca Allgood-May and Dr Susie Haynes work together to provide a thorough, compassionate, evidence-based process. We aim to make assessment clear, supportive, and empowering, with meaningful recommendations for support and wellbeing and diagnostic conclusions where appropriate.
▶ FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE
An assessment can help families understand a child’s needs, support their development, and identify useful resources at school or at home.
What to expect
- Initial screening: If you’re unsure whether a full assessment is right for your child, screening questionnaires and a conversation with a Clinical Psychologist can help clarify whether a full diagnostic assessment is recommended and identify suitable next steps. The screening fee is deductible from a full assessment.
- History taking: We gather background information and developmental history, and explore your child’s current strengths and challenges.
- Structured interviews: We use recognised tools, including the ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) and ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview–Revised).
- Clinical interviews: The assessment includes approximately 3.5–4 hours of interview time with two Clinical Psychologists.
- Questionnaires: Parents or carers may be asked to complete questionnaires to describe your child’s experiences across settings.
- Feedback session: Meet with Dr Rebecca or Dr Susie to discuss results, ask questions, and review next steps.
- Written report: Receive a detailed clinical report with diagnostic outcomes where applicable, tailored recommendations, and resources for support at school, at home, or in daily life.
▶ FOR ADULTS
An assessment may offer clarity and recognition if you felt overlooked growing up or are seeking understanding later in life. Understanding yourself can be a powerful first step toward self-acceptance and accessing support.

▶ OUR APPROACH
Two Clinical Psychologists work together on every autism assessment. This brings different clinical perspectives and supports a thorough, collaborative process. We take time to listen, value your voice, and aim to make the assessment respectful and supportive throughout. Girls and women may present differently, with some experiences being internalised; our clinicians take care to consider each person’s individual presentation.

▶ ADHD ASSESSMENTS
We offer ADHD assessment and support for children and adults in a supportive, neurodivergent-friendly environment.
▶ CHILD ADHD ASSESSMENTS
If your child is experiencing difficulties with concentration, restlessness, or impulsive behaviour, an ADHD assessment may help clarify their needs. Our trauma-informed approach considers a range of factors that can affect behaviour and learning.
We use clinical interviews, parent and teacher questionnaires, and objective measures such as the QbTest to build an understanding of your child’s strengths and challenges. We also consider other areas of mental health, learning, and environment. Following assessment, we provide practical guidance and recommendations tailored to your child and family.
What to expect
- Initial screening: We begin with screening to help determine whether a full ADHD assessment is appropriate.
- Background information: We gather developmental and family history through questionnaires and conversations with parents or carers. Teacher input is often requested.
- Structured interviews: Parents and, where appropriate, the child take part in interviews using recognised tools, such as the ACE for children.
- Objective testing: Your child may complete attention and activity-based tests, such as the QbTest.
- Feedback and next steps: You’ll receive a report, feedback on results, a diagnosis where appropriate, and recommendations. These may include school strategies, therapy, or onward referral.
Child assessments can be offered at our Central London clinic near Liverpool Street and Bank Station, or online.
▶ ADULT ADHD ASSESSMENTS
If you experience challenges with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity, an adult ADHD assessment may help you better understand your experiences and support options. Assessment can be offered online or in Central London near Liverpool Street and Bank Station.
What to expect
- Screening: Initial screening helps determine whether a full ADHD assessment may be appropriate.
- Initial consultations: Discuss your developmental history, symptoms, and concerns in a confidential setting. A second consultation may be recommended for complex symptoms or history.
- Structured interview: The ACE or the DIVA-5 is used as the formal standard interview tool.
- Objective testing: Tests such as the QbTest may be used to measure attention, impulsivity, and activity.
- Feedback and treatment planning: Receive a comprehensive report, feedback on results, and a personalised plan to support your quality of life.

- Adult ADHD assessment: £1,300.
- Child ADHD assessment: £1,399.
▶ MEDICATION AFTER AN ADHD ASSESSMENT
For people who would like to explore medication, we work with two prescribing services: Midlands ADHD Clinic and AuDHD Psychiatry. We can discuss these options during your feedback session.
▶ COGNITIVE, LEARNING, GIFTEDNESS, HIGH POTENTIAL & DUAL EXCEPTIONALITY ASSESSMENTS
We offer comprehensive, face-to-face psychological assessments to help individuals and families understand how a child or young person thinks, learns, and processes information. Assessments are conducted in person by an HCPC-registered Specialist Clinical Psychologist using recognised tools, including the WISC and WAIS where appropriate. Each assessment includes a detailed, school- or work-ready report and a personalised feedback session, with consideration of neurodivergent presentations and individual learning profiles.
▶ LEARNING AND COGNITIVE ASSESSMENTS
Learning assessments explore how a person learns and processes information and identify learning differences that may be affecting progress at school or work. Depending on the assessment, we may look at reasoning, memory, processing speed, attention, and academic skills. The report explains strengths and areas of difficulty and provides practical, evidence-based recommendations.
▶ GIFTEDNESS AND HIGH-POTENTIAL ASSESSMENTS
These assessments help individuals and families understand high abilities and how they may relate to learning, emotional wellbeing, and educational needs. Using tools such as the WISC or WAIS where appropriate, we consider advanced cognitive abilities within the broader learning profile. Reports can support conversations with schools about enrichment, acceleration, or educational planning.
▶ TWICE-EXCEPTIONAL (2E) ASSESSMENTS
Twice Exceptional assessments explore profiles where high ability may occur alongside a learning difference or neurodevelopmental need (e.g., autism or ADHD). Strengths can sometimes mask areas of difficulty, or challenges may make high ability less obvious. Our assessment considers both strengths and support needs, with a report to help families and educators plan appropriate provision.
▶ COGNITIVE ASSESSMENT FEES
Twice-exceptional assessment fees vary depending on the components included.
- Cognitive & Learning Assessment: £1,299.
- High-potential assessment: from £1,459.
- Combined twice-exceptional Assessment: £3,799. Includes a full learning assessment, Autism assessment, ADHD assessment, and High-Potential consultation.
